The Site is owned and operated by We Build Closets, LLC, a Georgia limited liability company ("WBC", "We", "Us"). This Privacy Policy applies to all users of our Site on or after the Effective Date. By using the Site, you signify your agreement and assent to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the Privacy Policy, please do not register, subscribe, create an account, purchase products from the Site, or otherwise interact with WBC at the Site.
Type of Information We Collect.
Traffic Data. We automatically track and collect the following information when you visit the Site: (i) IP address; (ii) domain server; (iii) type of computer; and (iv) type of web browser (collectively “Traffic Dataâ€). Traffic Data is anonymous information that does not personally identify you but is helpful for marketing purposes or for improving your experience on the Site. We also use “cookies†to customize content specific to your interests, to ensure that you do not see the same advertisement repeatedly and to store your password so you do not have to re-enter it each time you visit the Site.
Personal Information. Personal information is defined as any information about an identifiable individual, including information that may be reasonably used to identify an individual, locate or contact an individual, for example, a first and last name, an email address, a home, postal or other physical address, telephone number, etc. In an effort to provide you with an efficient and pleasurable experience at the Site, WBC may collect the following types of personal information and other information from you: (1) information which permits us to communicate with you, such as your first and last name, email address, home, postal or other physical address, telephone number, or fax number; (2) information that helps us understand what types of products interest you, e.g., your gender or affiliation with any company or organizations; (3) information which shows us how you interact on the Site, for example, which products you view and purchase; and (4) your financial account information such as your credit card number, the expiration date and card verification number, or other payment information, such as your debit card, or checking account information, as needed. We may also collect data through social media companies (such as Facebook or Twitter) subject to your granting permission in accordance with those company's information-sharing policies.
How We Collect Such Information.
Registration with the Site. Prior to using certain parts of the Site or placing an order with the Site, you must first register or create an account with the Site. During registration, WBC will ask you to provide us with certain personal information, including your name, shipping and billing address(es), phone number, fax number, email address, credit card or debit card number or checking account information, and gender. This information is used by WBC to place and fulfill your order, to communicate with you about your order, to facilitate the return of an item or to make an exchange and for internal marketing purposes. If you elect to use the Bill Me Later® payment method, you will be asked to provide us with your birth date and the last 4 numbers of your social security number. We will not store or keep this information in our files. This information will be used for the sole purpose to facilitate the Bill Me Later® transaction.
Voluntary Disclosure of Information. Certain areas of the Site provide you with the option to disclose your email address for certain purposes, including but not limited to: to subscribe to our newsletter; to receive information regarding special offers and promotions; to receive access to exclusive deals; to receive coupons; to receive information regarding new products, sizes or styles; or to register for a contest or sweepstakes. If you register for a contest or sweepstakes you may also be opting in to receive our email newsletter and special offers. This will be disclosed in the official rules governing the contest or sweepstakes. Also, if you register for a contest or sweepstakes, we will use the information that you have provided to us to contact you if you should win the contest and we may also post your name and geographic location on our Site. You may also be required to disclose your age in connection with the contest or sweepstakes registration.
Product Review. You may also choose to submit a product review with the Site. If you submit a review, we will ask you for your email address, your name (or your nickname), and your geographic location. Once you submit a product review, your name or nickname and your geographic location will be made public on the Site, as well as any personal information that you disclose in the content of the review.
Site Navigation. WBC may also collect information from you when you use and navigate the site, e.g., information regarding the products you view and purchase.
Cookies and Tracking Technology. When you visit our Site, we collect certain information by means of technologies such as "cookies." A "cookie" is a piece of information that is transferred to your hard drive when you visit our Site, which automatically affiliates your browser to our server whenever you interact with our Site. A cookie cannot read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other websites. WBC may use "cookie" technology to improve your online experience. Cookies allow us to recognize you when you return to the Site, and to track and target your interests. WBC may also collect information using methods such as "refers," IP addresses, and environment variables. The environment variables WBC gathers include time, the type of Web browser being used, the operating system/platform, and CPU speed. This information may be used in the aggregated form to monitor Site performance, use of features and traffic patterns, and browser version. We do not extract information about individual users or their computers during this process. We may monitor a visitor's use of the Site, and use or disclose any information gathered as part of our evaluation of the Site to satisfy any law, regulation or other government request, and to operate the Site properly and efficiently.
Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies but can be configured to refuse cookies or warn you before cookies are placed on your computer. If you refuse cookies, you may not be able to take full advantage of the Site. In particular, you may be required to accept cookies in order to complete certain actions on our Site, including the selection and placing of products into an online shopping cart and the ordering of such products. In most cases, the information we collect using cookies or other technologies is used in non-identifiable ways without reference to personal information. However, in the cases where we associate the information we collect using cookies and related technologies with your personal information, this Privacy Policy will control.
Log File Information. Log file information is automatically reported by your browser each time you access a web page. When you register with or view our site, our servers automatically record certain information that your web browser sends whenever you visit any website. These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, referring / exit pages and URLs, number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other such information.
Clear Gifs Information. When you use the Site, we may employ clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons) which are used to track the online usage patterns of our users anonymously. No personally identifiable information from your WBC account is collected using these clear gifs. In addition, we may also use clear gifs in HTML-based emails sent to our users to track which emails are opened by recipients. The information is used to enable more accurate reporting, improve the effectiveness of our marketing, and make the Site better for our users.
How We Use Your Information. WBC may use your information to: (1) verify, process and track any orders of products that you place on the WBC Site; (2) contact you with questions or provide information to you regarding your order; (3) respond to your inquiries and provide customer support to you; (4) tailor your shopping experience to fit your specific needs; (5) develop and operate the Site; (6) improve the Site, the product selection and your experience at the Site; (7) with your consent, send you catalogues, promotional offers, advertisements and coupons that we believe may be of interest to you; (8) with your consent, provide you with information regarding WBC that may be of interest to you, such as our newsletter and e-mail updates; (9) determine the types of products that may be of interest to you; and (10) oversee surveys, contests, sweepstakes or other activities or events sponsored by WBC and to contact you regarding such activities with your consent. We allow other companies, called third-party ad servers or ad networks, to serve advertisements on the Site. These third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology to send, directly to your browser, the advertisements and links that appear on the Site. They automatically receive your IP address when this happens.
